Adrian Papahagi

Adrian Papahagi (PhD Sorbonne, 2006) este profesor univ. dr. în cadrul Departamentului de Studii anglofone și scandinave și director al Centrului de istoria cărții și a textelor (CODEX). Este membru al școlii doctorale de studii lingvistice și literare a UBB (SDSLL), și al școlii doctorale „Scienze del testo dal medioevo alla modernità: filologie medievali, paleografia, studi romanzi” (STEMMA), Univ. Roma-La Sapienza. Predă de asemenea un curs de codicologie în cadrul Diplôme européen d’études médiévales (DEEM), la Roma. A predat istoria limbii engleze la Sorbona (Univ. Paris IV) și la Institutul Catolic din Paris. A fost bursier al guvernului francez la École Normale Supérieure din Paris, bursier doctoral al École française d’Oxford, Mellon fellow la The Warburg Institute, Londra, fellow la New Europe College, București.

Domenii de interes: literatura engleză veche; literaturi germanice medievale; literatura medio-latină; studiul manuscriselor; istoria cărții; Shakespeare.

Conduce doctorate în domeniile: literatura engleză medievală în contextul ei manuscris; opera lui William Shakespeare și a contemporanilor săi; istoria scrierii, cărții, lecturii și bibliotecilor în perioada medievală și modernă timpurie.
